This is it!!!!!

Well folks .. there's only likely to be one or two more announcements about this most recent incarnation of Neighborhood Public Radio. We'll be going off the air for a while on Saturday the 23rd of October. You will still be able to check up on us and see what we do next at http://www.conceptualart.org/npr, but we will no longer be located at Southern Exposure after the 23rd. That means, if your gonna come see us, this is your last chance.

Some of the excitement in the coming week:

We will be having a closing event. And Matmos have kindly agreed to play a DJ set from 5pm - 7pm. This DJ set will be immediately following a day of singer/songwriters featuring a two hour set curated by Mission Creek Music Festival founder and producer, Jeff Ray featuring Lazarus, Radius, Odessa Chen, and Lonely Hearts plus local musicians Etienne DeRocher, Dominic East, and Luke Powell. The fun starts on Saturday at 1pm.

"Won't you be my neighbor?" will be interviewing Nicole Sawaya, General Manager of KALW radio in SF on Wednesday from 7:30- 8:00.

We're waiting to hear back from East Village Radio. Hopefully we'll do a phone interview with them on Thursday for "Won't you be my neighbor?". And then to round out the week ... on Friday Southern Exposure's Executive Director, Courtney Fink will get the "Won't you be my neighbor?" interview treatment.

Kitchen Sink will have Elka Karl reading on Friday, and rumors have surfaced that the Visible Hand may attempt some sort of a pledge drive on Wednesday or Thursday. And, of course, the usual band of miscreants will fill the airwaves at their usual times. (see the schedule)
