We hosted the first of several broadcasts from San Diego on Saturday, April 12th. A surprising number of people showed up to participate and more folks stayed to listen and examine what this whole “independent radio” thing is all about. It was great fun. Below are photos and sounds.

The pope is staying just blocks from our storefront this weekend (and if you’ll keep it quiet..I’ll tell you… I think I, personally, will be sleeping within a block of the Pope during his NY visit).  Not sure what it will mean, but I think the wireless mic might just come out this weekend.

In more relevant news…  Billy Jam is going to be on the air on Saturday with a Bay Area to New York hip hop/grafitti explosion.  In advance of that appearance he has posted a little preview on the Amoeblog.  Check it out.  Thanks again to Billy Jam!!!

Marisa Olson  recently showed us some love on the rhizome blog and then our friend Steve Lambert got some love of his own on the blog…and also gave some coverage to the new video produced by the Whitney.
