Lee Montgomery has been collecting images,thoughts, memories and futures of change since occupying Tiananmen square alongside thousands of Chinese students on May Day of 1989. Lee’s work has spanned explorations of the impact of various forms of media on our lives ranging from multiple web based personalities to radio experiments on KALX Berkely to his current work as a neighborhood media enabler and provocateur with Neighborhood Public Radio. Neighborhood Public Radio is a nomadic radio production that seeks to give voice to marginalized sound making of all types. His work has been featured in Punk Planet Magazine and Art Forum and his collaborative projects have been supported by CEC Artslink, The Creative Work Fund, the International Symposium for Electronic Arts, kuda.org and the Novi Sad Contemporary Art Museum.
In his day job, Lee teaches Digital Media at Diablo Valley College in the Bay Area of California.
